Do you need to take an integration course in order to extend your residence permit, as required by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF)? Or would you like to improve your language skills voluntarily? In either case, the Lernstudio H&G in Frankfurt am Main is the right place for you. We offer both state-subsidised integration courses and German courses for self-payers.

A DTZ A2 and B1 exam will take place following the lessons. In order to take a German exam in Frankfurt, you must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in an integration course.

If you are planning to become a naturalised citizen in the Frankfurt am Main region, you can register for an appointment directly with us. DTZ – a brief overview

 

The ‘Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer’ (‘German Test for Immigrants’) is an examination for migrants that takes place after they have completed their integration courses. German language skills at A2 and B1 level are assessed according to the ‘Common European Framework of Reference’ (CEFR). The exam is conducted according to the same standard in all German federal states. The associated ‘Society for Academic Study Preparation and Test Development e. V.’ (‘g.a.s.t’) in Bochum also offers language tests for foreign students should you require them at a later date.

You can register at the Lernstudio H&G in Frankfurt after a free personal consultation and assessment. When registering for the integration course, please bring your passport and, if you have one, your voucher from the immigration office or the BAMF.​

Content of the Integration Courses at the Lernstudio H&G in Frankfurt

​

Our language courses in Frankfurt cover everyday topics such as shopping, health, education and careers. These course contents are supplemented by aspects such as socialisation, leisure activities, dealing with the media and using public transport. The upbringing and education of children in Germany, dealing with authorities as well as writing job applications and other formal documents are also part of our integration course in Frankfurt.

As part of the orientation course, participants also gain a basic insight into social and political life in Germany. This means that they acquire not only linguistic confidence, but also the knowledge they need to independently and confidently navigate everyday life in their new home. Upon successfully completing the integration course in Frankfurt, participants receive an official certificate documenting their linguistic and social skills in Germany.
